Why purchase travel insurance? Being a parent can be stressful, especially when your child ventures out on their own. Although you may not be accompanying your child on their trip, it can be beneficial to protect their journey with a student travel protection plan.

Dream-Travel works with Travel Insured International and will register the group when the group is initially established. Parents have the option to choose between three different insurance options at the time of registration. Within the basic travel insurance plan, there are three levels of premiums. All plans include: trip delays, missed connections, baggage and personal effect loss, baggage delay, accident and medical expenses, medical evacuations, political or security evacuations, and natural disaster evacuations

1. The basic plan will cover the student at the time of travel under the basic Student Travel Protection Plan. This plan does not offer reimbursement options if the student has to cancel their travel plans (see plan below for exact details) 

2. The deluxe plan will cover the student at the time of travel under the basic Student Travel Protection Plan and will also allow cancellation and trip interruption with reimbursement with reason (see plan below for exact details)

3. The Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) plan is the most comprehensive as it covers the student at the time of travel under the Student Travel Protection Plan AND allows cancellation with reimbursement (75% of the nonrefundable trip costs) without reason. This plan must be purchased no later than 14 days after trip registration. If you do not sign up within the 14 day period, you will not be able to add the policy to be covered for CFAR and/or preexisting conditions at a later date.
